Uniform and Dress Code

School Uniform

The school uniform is a symbol of our identity and a testament to the discipline we cultivate at Bishop Morrow School. Every student is expected to wear the school uniform with pride, neatness, and correctness.

Daily Presentation

Every student must wear a clean, complete, and correct uniform daily. Parents are requested to take special care to ensure their ward leaves home in full uniform.

Mandatory Status

The uniform is compulsory for all school activities, including curricular and co-curricular sessions, on both instruction and non-instruction days.

Identity Components

The official school badge and identity card are considered integral parts of the uniform and must be worn daily.

Specifications

Parents and students must strictly adhere to the school’s uniform specifications regarding fabric, colour, and style.

Uniform Defaulters

Failure to adhere to the dress code is considered a breach of discipline. Defaulters may be fined or sent back home at the discretion of the school authorities.

Permission for Exceptions

If a student is unable to wear the complete or correct uniform for a valid reason, they must obtain prior permission by entering the details in the "Uniform" section of the school diary.

Personal Grooming

Students must maintain a high standard of personal hygiene. Hair must be kept neat and trimmed (for boys) or tied back neatly (for girls). Long nails and the use of nail polish are strictly prohibited. Boys must be clean-shaven.

Prohibited

Hair colouring, styling gel, stylish haircuts and tinted glossy lip balm.

Footwear

Only black shoes of the prescribed pattern and the school-approved socks are to be worn. Shoes must be polished daily.

Jewellery & Accessories

For the sake of uniformity and safety, students are not permitted to wear jewellery, expensive watches, or any other accessories not approved by the school. A simple wrist watch may be worn by students of Classes VI and above only during the exam days. Digital watches are not allowed.

Seasonal Uniforms

Students must adhere to the seasonal uniform shifts (e.g., Summer/Winter variations) as notified by the school office. Mixing of different seasonal uniform components is not permitted.

Uniform for Special Events

On specific days such as House activity days, students must wear the designated House uniform as prescribed. Students failing to do so may be excluded from the scheduled activities.

Nursery and Pre-Primary

Nursery Section: School Uniform.

Pre-primary Section (LKG and UKG):

Boys: White and blue check shirt with half sleeves and blue pant.
Girls: White and blue check dress.
Royal blue sweater in winter for both boys and girls.

Primary Section (Class I to IV)

Boys: Blue pant and white shirt with half sleeves in summer and full sleeves in winter.
Girls: Blue skirt and white shirt with half sleeves in summer and full sleeves in winter; navy blue slacks in winter.
For both boys and girls: Blue tie with white stripes and badge; navy blue sweater and blazer in winter.
For classes III and IV: House Uniform.

High School Section (Class V to XII)

Boys: Blue pant and white shirt with half sleeves in summer and full sleeves in winter; house jerseys on P.T. and games days.
Girls: Blue pant and white shirt with half sleeves in summer and full sleeves in winter and navy blue vest; house jerseys with track pants on PT and games days.
For both boys and girls:
- Blue tie with white stripes and badge.
- Navy blue sweater and blazer in winter.
- Black shoes with laces for boys; black shoes with buckles for girls.
- Plain white canvas shoes on PT and games days.
- For classes IX to XII - Physical Education Uniform on.

Material for pants, shirt, skirt, tie, belt, and blazer must be obtained from the school.
