CHILDRENS DAY CELEBRATION
November 14th, 2018 – observed as Children’s day all over the India, was an interesting and unique experience for some of the eleventh standard students of Bishop Morrow School. It was a day that had shown us the precious gift of a beautiful life that we behold, however, just behind the black curtains of our vision lies a totally different World. We received a warm welcome at Snehaneer, a home for the ‘differently abled children’, and interacted with quite a number of them who are not only physically challenged but also mentally retarded. We witnessed the shearing touch of pain that those children suffer from, every moment of their lives. It was indeed the effort of the Principal, Vice-Principal and the entire staff of Bishop Morrow School that we were able to create and cherish the exhilarating moments of joy and love. The joyful gathering on Children’s day and the cake cutting ceremony made us visualize the glimmer of the soul that resides within them, rippling on their faces.
The air of the residence was soon filled with rhythmus of melody and beats of dance. This went on with distributing cup- cakes, biscuits, chocolates and lots more.
We were indeed privileged to spend some time with the ‘diffetrently abled’ children. On returning home, we realized how lucky we are, having been blessed with such perfections. A huge duty lies on all of us. The duty to comfort and love all those who haven’t been as lucky as we are. It is our sole objective to join hands to make this world a better place for everyone.
